Volunteer service activity in commemoration of the Sacred Feast of the Passover 2013 (The Church of God)
As this world gets wicked and wicked, and most people forget the love of God, many children are affected. Some are abandoned, neglected, or abused; even some are almost killed by their own parents. These “unloved” children are left in orphanages being taken care of by people who they do not know and have no relation with.
In hope to give light and love to the hearts of this children, hope and joy are carried though the wings of love to 13 orphans of the Shekinah Home in Dingras, Ilocos, Norte. Shekinah is a Hebrew word which means the Glory of God. The members of the Church of God shone the glory of Elohim God, being the salt and light of the World. They willingly and lovingly donated goods, school supplies, milk, second-hand clothes and toys. The members were divided into two, some carried out Clean up activity around the Shekinah Home, and the other group organized a small program for the kids with joyful songs and games.
The Church of God believes in God the Mother as well as God the Father on the basis of the Bible. Having received abundant blessings and love from God the Father and Mother, the Church of God, all around the world, practices the love of God through various heartfelt activities. Like other branch Churches all over the world, the Church of God Laoag branch has done clean-up activities in various places in Laoag City, a blood drive to give life through the love of the Passover and recently, sharing God the Father and God the Mother’s love to children who were not able to feel such love. With this, the Church of God is being complimented and acknowledged for their good deeds and local officials expressed their gratitude.
The love of God deeply embedded in the hearts of the members, are shows through their bright smiles as they give and share to children who are in need of love. The Church of God believes that this dark and selfish world only needs the love and light of God the Father and Mother who willingly and unselfishly gave their life for their children. Following the example of Christ, the Church of God will continuously find ways to practice and share God’s love to all people around the world.
